X-ray Fluorescence Spectrometer
Useful to asses composition of major and trace elements in solid sample matrices. Samples are prepared as pressed pellets. Energy dispersive polarized beam X-ray Fluorescence spectrometry (ED(P)XRF) is a powerful analytical method available from the compact SPECTRO XEPOS instrument. The instrument is controlled by PC driven, easy to use X-LAB Pro software.
Specifications include:
- Excitation: X-ray tube with Pd anode; secondary targets (HOPG, Mo, Al2O3, Co)
- Silicon drift detector
- Sample handling: 12 positions, rotating, helium atmosphere
